How to Prepare for Painting and What to Expect

Interior Painting

Room Setup

  • Our painting team will arrive promptly and begin by moving and/or covering your furniture.
  • All fixtures will be removed from the walls.
  • Your floors will be covered with wall-to-wall drop cloths.

Room Preparation

  • Surfaces will be scuffed or sanded as needed, and holes and cracks will be filled.
  • Gaps in the trim will be caulked.
  • All surfaces will be washed as needed/required.

Painting

  • Surfaces will be primed (as needed) and properly painted with your choice of color.

Inspection

  • Our crew will closely inspect their work and complete final touch-ups where required.
  • The area will be thoroughly cleaned up.
  • A final walk through will be done with the customer to ensure satisfaction.

Exterior Painting

Set Up

  • Our crew will cover all plants, sidewalks, driveways, ect. We will also remove screens in windows.

Preparation

  • Evaluation of exterior to determine whether power/hand washing is needed to remove excessive dirt or any mold.
  • Delicate areas may be hand washed.
  • We will then remove and replace any all damaged or rotted wood on the siding and trim.
  • Gaps will be caulked to prevent water damage.
  • All loose or peeling paint is gently scraped or sanded off.

Painting

  • Areas that need primed will be taken care of prior to painting with your choice of color(s).

Clean Up

  • We will clean around your home as needed and daily. Paint chips will be removed and our equipment and materials will be carefully stored.

Inspection

  • Our crew will closely inspect their work and complete final touch-ups where required.
  • The area will be thoroughly cleaned up.
  • A final walk through will be done with the customer to ensure satisfaction.
